Roel Martens
Roel Martens is Head of Aviation Leases & Ad hoc Sales and Head of Airport Strategy at TUI fly Western Region.
After studying Aerospace Engineering at Delft University of Technology, graduating at Eindhoven Airport and starting his career at KLM, Roel joined the airline of TUI in the Netherlands in 2014. His role included the planning of the TUl fly operation from the Netherlands, including the routes to the Dutch Caribbean with 14 flights a week.
In his current role he combines a broad range of airline and tour operating aspects, with a main focus on TUl’s airport and network strategy, on-demand charter sales and fleet management.

The Dutch Caribbean Cooperation of Airports (DCCA) is organizing the 1stInternational Sustainable Air Transportation event called “A Flight To The Future” in Aruba in November 2022. A one-week event filled with presentations, panel discussion, masterclasses and test flight demonstrations with the Pipistrel Velis Electro, the first certified electric aircraft, all with the purpose of sharing knowledge, creating dialogue on the future of aviation and on interisland connectivity in the Dutch Caribbean.
