General Manager for JetBlue at Queen Beatrix International Airport
Karen King’s education in Hospitality Management set the foundation for a career in the airline industry that has spanned 25 years. Karen began her industry experience with General Air Services at Aruba’s Queen Beatrix International Airport, supervising and coordinating station personnel to ensure efficient operations.
In 2006, JetBlue tapped into Karen’s knowledge and communication skills, naming her Station Supervisor, highlighting her experience and impeccable ability to bridge the gap across the spectrum of management, staff, and customers.
Karen’s leadership style has earned the respect of industry colleagues throughout the Queen Beatrix International Airport, leading to being named JetBlue’s General Manager in Aruba and Curacao in 2017. She currently oversees all aspects of JetBlue’s operations on both islands, including staffing and training, revenue generation and financial performance, and identifying areas for improvement.

The Dutch Caribbean Cooperation of Airports (DCCA) is organizing the 1stInternational Sustainable Air Transportation event called “A Flight To The Future” in Aruba in November 2022. A one-week event filled with presentations, panel discussion, masterclasses and test flight demonstrations with the Pipistrel Velis Electro, the first certified electric aircraft, all with the purpose of sharing knowledge, creating dialogue on the future of aviation and on interisland connectivity in the Dutch Caribbean.
