CEO of WINAIR since July ‘23. 54y, married to Liesbeth and father of Felix of 16.
Having studied Business Administration and Aviation in UK and The Netherlands, I have worked 20 years in Tourism and Aviation, working for the TUI Group, 10y of which for ArkeFly (2006-2016), the leisure airline of TUI Netherlands.
My jobs have been in both operational and commercial area’s. The last 3y I was MD of ArkeFly. In my time, we have developed frequencies to CUR and AUA, and opened routes to BON and SXM. Next, I have been CEO of TUI France and Morocco. Since this summer I accepted the great task to further develop WINAIR into a stable regional carrier in the Caribbean, building on 60+ years of history. We are the only airline connecting the six Dutch Caribbean islands.

The Dutch Caribbean Cooperation of Airports (DCCA) is organizing the 1stInternational Sustainable Air Transportation event called “A Flight To The Future” in Aruba in November 2022. A one-week event filled with presentations, panel discussion, masterclasses and test flight demonstrations with the Pipistrel Velis Electro, the first certified electric aircraft, all with the purpose of sharing knowledge, creating dialogue on the future of aviation and on interisland connectivity in the Dutch Caribbean.
