· The development and implementation of policy and legislation related to civil aviation, shipping, inland navigation and ports
· International relations in Civil Aviation and Maritime Affairs
· Responsible for sustainability, innovation, digitalisation, safety and security both in civil aviation and shipping, inland navigation and ports
· The development and implementation on freight and logistics by implementation of freight corridors, modal shift from road to water and rail, and air freight
Main subjects at the moment:
· Greening in aviation and shipping, inland navigation and ports
· Innovation and digitalisation in aviation and shipping, inland navigation and ports
· Further development of the freight agenda;

The Dutch Caribbean Cooperation of Airports (DCCA) is organizing the 1stInternational Sustainable Air Transportation event called “A Flight To The Future” in Aruba in November 2022. A one-week event filled with presentations, panel discussion, masterclasses and test flight demonstrations with the Pipistrel Velis Electro, the first certified electric aircraft, all with the purpose of sharing knowledge, creating dialogue on the future of aviation and on interisland connectivity in the Dutch Caribbean.
