Dave Peijnenburg is a Dutch student, who wrote his bachelor’s thesis on behalf of the Aruba Airport Authority.
His research was about the ground infrastructure requirements for electric flight operations between the ABC islands. After successfully defending his thesis, Dave graduated as Aviation Engineer from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
Currently, Dave is enrolled in the pre master program of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Technology in Delft, where he aspires to specialize in Sustainable Air Transport.
The Dutch Caribbean Cooperation of Airports (DCCA) is organizing the 1stInternational Sustainable Air Transportation event called “A Flight To The Future” in Aruba in November 2022. A one-week event filled with presentations, panel discussion, masterclasses and test flight demonstrations with the Pipistrel Velis Electro, the first certified electric aircraft, all with the purpose of sharing knowledge, creating dialogue on the future of aviation and on interisland connectivity in the Dutch Caribbean.
