Marjan van Giezen
Mrs Marjan van Giezen is a member of the Management Team of the Directorate for Civil Aviation, of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water management. She is responsible for regional airports and airspace. Within the Aviation Directorate she is coordinating aviation in the Caribbean.
She is graduated in international law and politics, and has been working in several ministries, in the field of environment, climate change, spatial planning and water management. She is working on Caribbean dossiers since 2010, especially on drinking water management. Since 2020 she is working in the field of aviation.

The Dutch Caribbean Cooperation of Airports (DCCA) is organizing the 1stInternational Sustainable Air Transportation event called “A Flight To The Future” in Aruba in November 2022. A one-week event filled with presentations, panel discussion, masterclasses and test flight demonstrations with the Pipistrel Velis Electro, the first certified electric aircraft, all with the purpose of sharing knowledge, creating dialogue on the future of aviation and on interisland connectivity in the Dutch Caribbean.
